The apple tree in our backyard is generally good for two things: Making mowing the lawn just that much more difficult; and attracting woodchucks via the small, unhappy-looking apples that it dumps all over the place in late summer. But every year, for two weeks in the spring, the tree redeems itself.

Oh, and the kids are still cute, too.

  1. I agree with you about the kids being cute!
    One more thing an apple tree is good for (from personal experience) – bees. Especially in the fall when the apples start falling and rotting. Beware.

  2. I was searching google images for apple tree blossoms. We just bought a house here in Pasadena and could not figure out what kind of mature tree we had blossoming..alas! It is, indeed, an apple tree! Yay! The search brought me here and I wanted to say that you children are adorable:o)
