Eric Harshbarger recently threw himself a puzzle party. Among the activities was this gorgeous maze, reminiscent of a couple of puzzles Scott Marley had in Games years ago. How many coins can you collect while traversing the maze? The best possible score is 100. If you’re solving solo, give yourself a couple of hours for this one…

By the way, I managed to print out this baby by shrinking it to fit on a single sheet of 11×17 paper. The instructions in each room are small, but legible enough to read.

  1. Well, I got…80. I wonder where I misstepped.

  2. I think Scott Marley’s Games “Escape the Dungeon” maze is possibly the earliest puzzle I remember. I didn’t solve it at the time, but it’s probably been at least a decade since I last saw it and I can remember several of the major steps in the answer now.

  3. Escape From the Forest was republished in the May 2007 edition of Games Magazine so you can try it again! I solved it with the help of my 17 year old son when it was first reprinted in their 1997 20th anniversary issue!
