I’m especially fond of the Editor’s Note at the bottom of the article. On the one hand, a lot of those legislators probably didn’t show up because they knew it was a stupid law, but didn’t want to have ads run against them in the next election saying they were “pro-gay.” But on the other, the amount of disrespect toward a fellow legislator that is shown by allowing a bill to simply die due to lack of quorum is delightful in situations like this.
