On Saturday night at the American Crossword Puzzle Tournament, I presented an eight-puzzle hunt, created by Jeffrey Harris and myself. I confess there was an advertising element to the game — you might notice the “As seen on PuzzleNation.com!” logo on every single page — but still, we tried to put a fun variety of puzzles in there, and the set was well receieved by the crowd at the tournament. Competitors were asked to solve in teams of two (and if you didn’t want to compete, then you were free to solve with as many people as you wanted). The first pair over the finish line was Francis Heaney and Lorinne Lampert, who reached the final answer in about 25 minutes. One minute behind them, impressively, was Andrew Feist, working solo.

If you’d like to try the PuzzleNation Hunt for yourself, you can find it here. Or, if you’re one of the several people who asked if I would be posting an answer sheet, that’s something you can download here. Enjoy!

  1. Thanks so much Eric! This takes away the sting of not being in Brooklyn
