Hark! Who goes there? Who reads this blog, anyway? If you’re a regular or semi-regular reader, and are not one of the seven regular commenters around here, do me a favor and introduce yourself. My stats program tells me I get a couple of hundred people every day — non-unique, so for all I know, it’s ten people hitting “refresh” a lot. But it suddenly occurred to me to be curious about who’s out there. Hi! Who are you? How did you get here in the first place? Do tell!
Aw, just a regular puzzler who runs out of things to read on the NYT forum. No kids, but I’m caretaker to a disabled husband, so your health-care stories are interesting to me. And though I lean more to the left than you do, I appreciate that your politics are well thought out.
I’m not sure if I’m one of the 7 regular commenters, but I think you know how I got here :)
Yeah, what Ken said. :-)
I don’t recall how I first found the blog, but I know you the same way the previous two commenters do
I started a humor magazine with you in college once.
I’m just a puzzler making my rounds of interesting blogs in the morning.
As for getting here, some other blog (Tablesaw’s?) I was reading linked to your story, and since then I’ve stuck around. :)
Despite being the seventh, I’m not one of THE seven, and a very infrequent commenter anywhere (in higher education, you can spend your entire LIFE commenting), but I like to read, and your style is lively and quick-witted. I don’t remember how I got here, but then that’s true of most of my life thus far.
(sadly former due to lack of time) NPL member Ziggy, got here probably through TableSaw or something.
Non-NPL puzzle fan. Wandered over via tablesaw or Francis or someone.
It is I, your brother.
What they said. And lately I’ve been blogging too.
I agree with them.
I read Ellen’s blog, too! :-)))
Huh? I thought this was Eric Berman’s blog…
Long time reader. Seventh time poster.
Brother #2 checking in.
this is your number 1 mom-
Someone at the NYT forum sent me when you restarted your blog. I stuck around hoping for more crossword stuff and more stuff about your son (my son’s about the same age and has had his own developmental issues). I like your links to goofy stuff, too, but my eyes tend to glaze over when you turn to politics (I prefer a more lefty approach).
What’s a blog?
Blame Trip.
I don’t actually read anything you post, I just like writing comments.
I got through from a link, via another link. Funny how that happens.
Puzzle fan with too much work and too little desire to do it. It seems like this blog is a family reunion for you. Don’t you ever call them?
I read your blog and then tell your wife what you say :)
I read your blog, Eric, but nobody will ever know as I’m not willing to admit it to anyone, anywhere.

P.S. I don’t mind your political stuff at all. Keep it up. I lean right, politically, but I read/listen to opinions from both sides.
I found your blog by googling ” ‘Mystery Hunt’ blog” a few months ago — I’m writing for the first time this year and I thought I’d go see what some solvers not from Random thought about the past few year’s hunts. I stayed around because I enjoyed the puzzles and your personality — I probably check in about once a week.
